DIY Eucalyptus Shower Steamers

Card image cap
Here’s how Eucalyptus can enhance your morning shower and help you start the day refreshed.

You’ve heard of bath bombs, but how about shower steamers? You’ll love these little balls of goodness, melting away while you enjoy your shower and releasing essential oil aromas into the steam.

When infused with eucalyptus oil, they’re particularly good on those chilly winter mornings when you’re not feeling 100%.

Eucalyptus oil’s clean, invigorating aroma naturally prompts you to take a few deep breaths, be more present and focus your mind for the day.
Sounds good? Here's how to make these brilliant Shower Steamers.

You’ll need:

 1 cup citric acid
 2 tablespoons Cornflour
 2 tablespoons water
 15mL (approx. 2 capfuls or 1 Tbsp) Bosisto’s Eucalyptus Oil
 Silicone mold
 Spatula or spoon to mix

Directions:

1. In a bowl, combine citric acid and cornflour.
2. In a small cup, mix the water and essential oil.
3. Pour the liquid into the citric acid mix and begin to stir. It may bubble slightly. Mix until evenly combined.
4. Press the mixture into a silicone mold and use the spatula to press firmly in (this makes them hold together)
5. Leave in mold overnight to dry.
6. In the morning, pop steamers out and store in an airtight jar.

TO USE: Toss one steamer on the floor of your shower. As it melts, the aroma will be released.

Keep out of reach of children. Wash your hands after handling. Take care while showering as floor may be slippery.

*Eucalyptus Oil is antiseptic for minor wounds. Always read the label and follow the directions for use.
